Malachi's Marker Musings

Its been a wonderful day today! To start it off, we had a snow day, which I'm sooo thankful for since the wind chill outside is frightening! Its nice and warm inside (although I didn't take my moms advice and bake), I've been rolling around on the floor with my boys, playing hide and seek, getting some laundry done and enjoying more time with the kids. I feel like a child that's learned a new trick- I can breathe again! Although I'm tired and my eyes burn a little (making me wish I could sleep) and I'm VERY lightheaded, I can run through my house, giving my kids piggy-back rides without about keeling over because I can't catch my breath. I can't even begin to describe the turn-around. And. . . I'm sooo thankful for that!

The doctors office did call today and asked to see me back next week for a meds check. I kinda wondered why we couldn't just do it over the phone, but oh well. I guess when I'm on this high of meds, they want to monitor it more closely. Today, I did take 1/2 a pill less this morning, so was at 50mg and then tonight will continue the 75mg, so its at least a little less than yesterday. I notice a lot more "pressure" on my heart, but not as much of it racing or me not being able to breathe. My blood pressure gets pretty low at times which is why I'm trying to take the least amount of the Toprol as I can.

I was on the phone this morning and while I was walking around chatting, I noticed Mr. Malachi was doing some art-work. Thank goodness I only buy my kids the washable markers. I forgot why it was that we didn't want to buy nice furniture yet. It seems like all 3 of the boys have gone through this phase. And, in case you're wondering, I don't usually let him run around in just his diaper, but he'd already marked on his pants so I got them off to treat them for the laundry. He'd climbed up on the desk to retrieve the markers again after I left the room to get more pants for him and talk on the phone.

The boys are on strike about naps today. Its kinda a bummer because I sure would love to take one. But, I can't complain too much. I'm just tickled pink to be able to spend so much time OUT OF BED and with them! Its almost like having my life back. . . ya know. . . besides the lightheadedness, low blood pressure, and dry eyes.
