Big News! and Farm Kids
My kids. . . . were meant to be farm kids. . . there is just something about it. . . and we might actually be filling that reality sooner than we thought. . . .prayers are appreciated during this transition in our lives.
Here are some more pictures from the farm and family get-together last weekend. Logan loves his pearl-snap shirts and cowboy hats. He's a farmer.

The boys all had fun down at Grandpa's pond.

They were impatient with me a little since they wanted to catch some toads.

Zachary was on "top of the world!" Some BIG NEWS that I was so excited to hear this week was that last Wednesday night at Awanas, Zachary asked Jesus to be in his heart. Zachary told me about it Thursday morning and I was just so excited and proud of him. He seems to understand it and has been talking about changing his actions and doing more to serve Jesus. As a parent, I think that is the best thing I could ever have my child do- serve God.

My kids were born for dirt roads. . . hay fields (despite the allergies). . . . snakes, toads, snails, icky bugs. . . .and holey knee jeans with worn cowboy boots.

We like to cook outside and enjoy family time.

Malachi sits on the swings that are ancient and full of fun memories.

A tradition is to pick turnips from the alalfa field. As you might well be aware, this was HUGE fun for the boys!

They are all 3 great helpers.

Malachi found a worm. His new best buddy after he had just turned his snake loose.

Logan with a lot of turnips:

Malachi was handing Uncle Charles the turnips one at a time.

Zachary thought he had the biggest one.

. . . .and so did Logan:

Some more cousins:

Grandma Pam:

Roasting marshmallows after a fun afternoon:

Treya and Grandma:

Malachi was telling his cousin Hayden goodbye but he has started to like kissing on the lips.

She wasn't so fond of it! :)

Uncle Rylan had fun playing with the kids too.

Busy Days
We had a fun weekend last weekend with our cousins and family. It is fun having a large family and also many that live on farms. My boys are farm children!!! :)
Another thing about last weekend was that we caught a snake that was crossing the dirt road. That poor snake was Malachi's pet most of the day. He carried it around in his special bag and tried to scare most of his aunts and cousins with it. It was just a harmless garter snake. We did release it into the alalfa field.

Can you see the snake???

We had parent teacher conferences this past week that went great. They boys are exceling at school and we are very proud of them.

The weather has been terrific lately. It has been a beautiful fall so far. The boys are enjoying the evenings playing outside and getting fresh air. Logan has recently learned to ride a bike.
