Malachi woke up this morning with a 105 degree fever. He was limp and just hotter than hot. He cried when I held him or touched him anywhere and was just downright miserable. After the Motrin kicked in two hours later, he still had a 102 fever, so I called the dr. He suggested we come in. Of course, by the time we got there, Malachi was fine and dandy. He was a ball of energy and had NO fever. They ran some blood tests and the doctor inspected the rashes and said for sure it is something viral. Its a "classic textbook case". Oh how I wish I could hear those words at my doctors visits! Anyway, with how I've been feeling, I'm not real particular with how the boys dress themselves. Just as long as they know it will be hot and they need to dress accordingly. Well, the last couple pictures show what Logan and Malachi wore to the doctor's office this morning. It was so "comical" that the doctor had to take a picture of them on his bberry to show others. The doctor was checking Malachi's heart and ears and Logan leaned over, hugged him and said, "I love you!" He said, "Ah, thanks!" It was just cute. Logan's so sweet. And, to think of how he HATED doctors and offices for the longest time to now where he is where he loves his doctor. I'm so proud of how far he's come. Malachi had to get blood work, as I said, and he didn't flinch or cry at all! I couldn't believe the willpower of this child! He just looked at me in a calm way and let them prick around (they didn't get the vein on the first try). I was almost in tears because of how calm he was. It was precious. Of course, they put a band-aid on and then he said, "hurt" so we took it off so he didn't "hurt". :) We had lunch at the hospital so Shawn could buy us lunch and see the boys. Then, home for naps and off to VBS tonight and later on Bible study for me with smores! Yummy! :) I love Wednesday nights!

Sports, Sports, Sports
The boys are ALMOST done with sports for the summer. We've done baseball and football camp. No soccer this year for the boys. I just couldn't do it all with how I've been feeling. Speaking of feeling- Malachi is still running a 102 fever off and on. It mainly is right after he wakes up, like first thing this morning and then right after his nap. Motrin and Tylonal have worked wonders and changed him from a mopey little zombie to his playful, ornery self. And, that playful, ornery, trying-to-be-helpful child is lucky to have the cutest little smile and eyes that just melt my heart when he bats those lashes. Today he drenched my Blackberry phone with 409 cleaner. I was spot cleaning and he loves spraying water bottles, so he climbed up on the counter and grabbed the bottle. The couch, pillows, and my phone were the lucky culprits of his cleaning spirit today. Unfortunately, it was not a great day for doing that. I am VERY attached to my phone. We don't have a house phone and I carry my Bberry EVERYWHERE to have my email, fb and texts all with me so I'm available. We drove straight to Manhattan where the Verizon lady was less than nice to me. She gave me a brochure only in Spanish and circled a number for me to call- mind you- with an UNWORKING phone! So, I drove to the hospital and bawled my eyes out to Shawn. And he took care of the rest of the stuff for me, bless his heart.

I like how Logan is running and yelling at the same time.

Here are pictures from football camp that Zach went to. He got to listen to and meet Jon McGraw from the Chiefs and Jordy Nelson from the Green Bay Packers. They both used to go to Riley County. It was a neat day for him.

Our neighbor was actually Zachary's coach for the couple days of camp.

Oh, and here's what happens when I tell Logan to help me take some pictures (at football camp):

These are my pictures now. Malachi is going through a phase where he LOVES to wear helmets. Any helmet or hat even, he loves to wear it, no matter how hot out it is.

I had my second round of injections today. They have suggested that I have some sort of pain block thing put in, but its a $20K piece of equipment not even adding the cost of the surgery, so I think I'll try a few more injections before we go down that route! Also, the doctor was again concerned with how close to the sternum my heart is and how high my heart rate is. He suggested that I do have the pectus surgery and try to improve my quality of life. I am drained today. I feel better from the pain medicine, but I feel numb and lightheaded from crying almost all day. The boys WORE ME OUT! It was just a day of them not being respectful at all!!!! Praying that tomorrow is much better.

VBS, Trash Time, and Splash Park
You know you are in love with your camera when you take pictures of the trash being taken out! But, seriously, how cute is this little trash man???? In all honesty, I think the trashmen love our house every Saturday morning. It is the highlight of Malachi and Logan's day- seriously! And, the whole minute or two that the trashmen are on our street our boys are yelling hi and thank you and waving to them. And, they've never argued about the amount of trash we've put out so far! :)

Tonight, Logan went to VBS at a local church. I wasn't sure about it, but after Malachi being sick all day and Zachary going to baseball practice, Logan needed out of the house, or "I" needed Logan out of the house. His wirey energy is a little much at times. Well, when I went to pick him up, they were closing for the evening and the guest pastor told the kids, "if you don't have Jesus in your heart, you might just have a heart problem." Logan gasped, slapped his tiny hand over his mouth and stared back at me in the back row. I just kinda ignored him but was dying laughing inside. He's such a hoot!

Here are a few of the pictures from swimming lessons and the splash park at Manhattan. Malachi HATES sprinklers, but he loves puddles. So, the splash park is NOT for him.

Here is a picture of the boys jumping on bubble wrap. Like how Malachi had to have his helmet on??? :)
